Leonard L. Lichvar
Len is the District Manager. He started with the district in December 2005. His responsibilities include administration, coordination, public outreach, and implementation of all District projects and functions. Len is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a B.A. in Economics.
Susan J. Moon
Sue is the Assistant Manager. She started working for the Somerset Conservation District in December of 1987. Sue graduated from Cambria-Rowe Business College with an Associate Degree in Specialized Business. Keith L. LargentKeith is the Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control Technician. He started to work for the Somerset Conservation District as a summer intern in 1989. He became the Second E&SPC Technician in 1990 and moving on to first technician in 1991. Keith graduated from Shippensburg College with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Geo Environmental Studies.Donald E. WilliamsDon is the Nutrient Management Technician. He started to work for the Somerset Conservation District as the AHT Design Engineer in 1991. In 1995, Don's responsibilities moved to being a Chesapeake Bay Program Technician, and the Nutrient Management Program responsibilities were added in 1997. Don attended Penn State University, majoring in Agricultural Engineering. David R. KempDave is the Watershed Specialist. He started in April 2005. His responsibilities include working with local watershed organization projects. Dave has a BGS, Geology, Geography, and Zoology. He is a graduate of Weber State College, UT, Postgraduate classes at UPJ and Ohio State University.
Amanda Deal Amanda is the AmeriCorps member working with the Conservation District. Her responsibilities vary with the needs of the district, but include various educational events and coordinating the Stonycreek River Reassessment Project. Amanda received her B.S. in Environmental Science from Alderson Broaddus College in Philippi, WV and her M.S. in Applied Ecology and Conservation Biology from Frostburg State University.Aimee SteeleAimee started in February 2006 and is the Resource Tech and Assistant West Nile Virus Coordinator. Her duties include office tasks and assisting with WNV trapping and spraying.Eric NullEric is the County West Nile Virus Coordinator. He is responsible for mosquito survelience, applying larvacide to infested areas, and educating the public about ways to combat and prevent West Nile Virus. Eric graduated from California University of PA with a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries.
